The group encourages members to support each other and co-operate. It seeks to connect home educators, home educated alumni and those interested in home education advocacy.

Home Education Tasmania

 

Home Education Tasmania is a place for families from across Tasmania to get together for outings, activities and excursions.

Most activities take place in the Southern and Midlands region of Tasmania.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether they are long-time homeschoolers, new to homeschooling or considering making the leap.

The group is very supportive and serves as a place to showcase learning, share resources and develop friendships.

Hobart Natural Learners Co-Op

 

Hobart Natural Learners Co-Op is for families in the Hobart region who identify as natural learners, unschoolers or relaxed homeschoolers.

The co-op meets regularly and parents are encouraged to take turns leading activities. Children are also encouraged to suggest, develop and lead activities.

Children of all ages are welcome.

Southern Beaches Home Education Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month in Dodges Ferry.

This group welcomes families from all backgrounds, regardless of their approach to homeschooling. Members seek to encourage and support one another through the provision of community driven education programs.

Launceston Home Education Group meets every Wednesday at various locations around Launceston.

The group runs organised activities and is happy to provide a schedule if asked.

Huon Valley Homeschoolers

 

Huon Valley Homeschoolers meets on the last Friday of every month at the Ranelagh Showgrounds. The meetings are informal and unstructured.

Children are welcome to bring scooters, bikes or sporting equipment and parents are asked to bring a plate.

Hobart Montessori Bushschoolers is a Montessori-inspired bush school for homeschooled kids aged between five and ten years old.

The group meets every Wednesday at various locations in and around Hobart. Activities are child-led and are designed to encourage playfulness, exploration, creativity and discovery.

Kentish Mountain Learners Group

 

The Kentish Mountain Learners Group is focused on providing opportunities for families to make new friends.

The group participates in activities including bushwalking track maintenance, frisbee golf and wildlife surveys, most of which are organised by member families.

The group meets in a local hall in winter and in a part when the weather is more favourable.

The group welcomes new members and encourages families to organise activities for the meetings.

West Coast Homeschoolers is a casual group that welcomes families from the West Coast region.

The group has assistance from a music teacher and children are encouraged to bring their instruments, regardless of their skill level. Many members are beginner musicians.
