Puffing Billy Dog Express

Puffing Billy has launched a special monthly service that caters to four-legged family members - the Puffing Billy Dog Express.

The service travels through the lush Wright State Forest in enclosed compartment carriages, over three historic timber trestle bridges and past Wright, Cockatoo and Fielder Station.


There’s plenty of time to play in the park when the train arrives at Gembrook, or go for a walk along the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Trail. There are also lots of walking tracks to enjoy before the trip, around the Emerald Lake Park.


This trip is the perfect way to help kids learn about the natural environment, as well as historic transportation. Plus it’s just a really fund day out!
